SoulBound collects information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and detailed compatibility profile responses. We also collect technical information such as IP addresses, device type, and usage patterns to improve our service.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your profile data is used exclusively to power our AI compatibility matching engine. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Aggregate, anonymized data may be used for research and product improvement.
3. AI Processing
Your answers are processed using large language model AI to generate compatibility embeddings and profiles. These profiles are numerical representations of your compatibility dimensions — they are stored securely and encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
4. Sensitive Information
The questionnaire may touch on sensitive topics including relationship history, emotional health, and intimacy preferences. This data is treated with the highest level of confidentiality and is never exposed to other users. Optional questions (marked as optional) can always be skipped.
5. Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by PayPal, a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor. SoulBound does not store your credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers. We only retain a transaction reference for billing records.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your profile is retained for 90 days before being deleted. You can request immediate deletion of your data at any time.
7. Right to Be Forgotten
Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to request complete deletion of all your personal data. To submit a deletion request, email us at privacy@soulbound.ink. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use session cookies to maintain your login state and essential functionality. We may use anonymized analytics to understand usage patterns. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers on your profile data.
9. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256-GCM at rest), row-level security in our databases, and regular security audits. All personally identifiable information (PII) is encrypted at the application layer.
